Institutional Status & Academic Agility

Orion University is operated by Orion University OÜ, a private company registered in Estonia. Orion University awards independent institutional qualifications that are not state-accredited degrees.

This independent academic model enables Orion University to remain flexible and responsive, updating its programmes in line with developments in industry, technology, research, professional practice, and modern online education.

Our approach combines academic structure with practical relevance. Programmes are designed with defined learning outcomes, formal assessment, a structured credit and workload model, internal quality-assurance processes, and continuous curriculum review. Where appropriate, students may also undertake supervised industry-related fieldwork or professional engagement activities, helping them connect academic study with professional practice.

Recognition and acceptance of Orion University awards depend on the policies and requirements of the receiving employer, educational institution, professional body, regulatory authority, or other organisation.

Quality Assurance & External Review

The University maintains an internal quality-assurance framework covering programme design, assessment, academic oversight, student feedback, and continuous improvement.

Any future external accreditation, certification, validation, or independent review will be communicated clearly, together with the responsible organisation, precise scope, and period of validity. Such recognition will apply only to the programmes, activities, or quality processes specifically covered.

• Undergraduate: 180–240 ECTS (≈3–4 years FT)
• Postgraduate: 60–90 ECTS (≈1–2 years online PT)
• Professional certificates: mapped equivalents (e.g., 2.5–5 ECTS per short module)

Assessment & transparency: Assessments map to learning outcomes (projects, case studies, vivas; proctored exams where required). Each programme page shows module size, total credits, and module descriptors (outcomes, assessment, grading). Credit recognition rests with receiving institutions.

Quality is overseen by academic governance structures and documented processes:
