Orion University is a leading destination for maritime study, supporting outstanding applicants to Master’s programmes in the Maritime Department through the Maritime Excellence Scholarship.
Award value

Half-fee (50%) tuition scholarship
-
Up to 70% may be awarded for exceptional profiles (limited and competitive)
Scholarships apply to tuition fees only and cannot be combined with other Orion University awards. The highest single award will be applied.
Who may be eligible?
Applicants who:
-
hold a final degree average of ≥ 80%
-
have an offer for an eligible Orion University maritime programme
-
submit a brief statement of merit (≤ 300 words) outlining academic achievements and goals
-
can provide official transcripts/degree certificates (and certified English translations where required)
Selection criteria

Demonstrated academic excellence and rigour in relevant subjects

Quality and clarity of the 300-word statement
-
Strength of references or notable achievements (projects, publications, prizes)
How to apply

Accept your offer for an eligible programme.

Complete the Funding Form and upload required documents:

transcript/degree certificate

300-word statement of merit
-
passport/ID page (for identity verification)

Applications are assessed on a rolling basis; decisions are normally issued within 7 days of a complete submission.

Successful applicants receive an updated offer letter and payment plan (bi-monthly instalments available).

Terms and conditions

Scholarships are tuition-fee reductions; cash alternatives are not available.

Awards are non-stackable with other Orion University discounts (e.g., Alumni, Professional).

Recipients must enrol by the stated deadline and remain in good academic standing.

Orion University reserves the right to vary or withdraw awards in line with policy.
